Research Focus

Clinical: Clinical investigations on the efficacy of various diagnostic and therapeutic modalities such as sentinel node mapping, axillary ultrasound and MRI. Education: Assessment of clinical reasoning in surgical residents using the script-concordance test, development of a feedback tool for open operative skills and development of guidelines for choosing and assessing the performance of Program Directors. Dr. Meterissan’s interests also include developing innovative approaches to the teaching of the Core Competencies.
